Air Jordan 1 High OG Royal 2026 buying guide

2026 release facts

Nike SNKRS lists the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Royal” for October 10, 2026, style IQ5495-005, with a US price of $185. The US page shows Black/White/Game Royal and describes a premium leather upper. Confirm launch time, local price and size availability in your own region on Nike's product page.

2026 versus earlier Royals

The 1985 Royal is the original reference. The 2001, 2013 and 2017 retros are separate releases: compare production labels, shape, panel finish, age and condition rather than treating them as interchangeable. Nike describes the 2026 return as true to the original form, but that is not a promise of identical materials or shape to any specific earlier pair.

Royal Reimagined is not the same release

Nike identifies Royal Reimagined as DZ5485-042 and describes Royal Blue suede with black leather. The 2026 IQ5495-005 product page specifies a premium leather upper. Check the full code and material treatment before comparing prices or listing photographs.

Fit and sizing

Use Nike's size chart for the precise region and size category. An older, worn pair may feel different because leather breaks in and cushioning ages; do not extrapolate a used 2001 or 2013 fit to a new 2026 pair. Nike's current product page includes adult and little-kids fit options, but availability and style codes can differ by size category.

Retail versus resale

Start at the official US SNKRS launch page or the corresponding regional Nike page. Compare a live retailer's delivered price and return terms with resale offers; a future listing is not guaranteed retail stock. For older Royals, request size-tag, box-label, outsole and collar photographs and check for age-related wear.

Buying checklist

  • Match release year and style code: 2026 IQ5495-005; Reimagined DZ5485-042.
  • Confirm whether the offer is men's, GS, little-kids or another size category.
  • Inspect leather or suede finish, toe creasing, collar wear and outsole condition.
  • Calculate shipping, tax, authentication fees and return eligibility.
